How is higher education in Washington funded, and how are those funds used?

This brief looks at financing trends in postsecondary education for both the public and private sectors. It finds that tuition is the primary source of revenue at private universities, while tuition and government grants make up most of the revenue at public universities. The authors use metrics developed by the Delta Cost Project to conduct the analysis.

How do learners in Washington State fund their post-secondary education?

This report looks at student financial aid trends in postsecondary education for both the public and private sectors. Among other things, it finds that 46 percent of all undergraduate students received some grant aid, and that one third of undergraduate students received federal student loans.
